Below I have posted a few animatics that I can refer back to throughout my process. The animatic ‘Ancient Movie’ below has a similar style as I have drawn my storyboard, although my storyboard is a little messier and not as neat…. I am thinking to clean it out with this type of approach, just with a simple background and solid line work.
I liked the simplicity of this animatic below which focuses around a mountain goat. It’s not over complicated and the story is easy to read.
I came across this 30sec animatic by Gabriel H Fermanelli called Brave Girls. I found it quite good as I like the rough sketch work look. The timing is also similar to the length of our animatic so it gives me an idea of how little time I really have and whether or not I have put a little too much into my own storyboard at this point…something to look into and adjust!
I really liked how this animatic was drawn, the colours are simple yet amazing!! I would love to be this skilled!
This animatic is amazing, the lifework and movements are great and it’s only 26 seconds long! I love the styling… just amazing!
