Research into Schematic Designs/Uses

A schematic design is a simplified visual representation of a complicated system. The best example would be of a subway. The dots representing each station are placed in order but do not represent an accurate distance. The image below is of Beijing’s underground subway, it is easy to navigate thanks to the simplified line structures and colour choices.

Designer Phil Campbell has a mind-blowing schematic that he produced for The Godfather game for PS2, PS3, Xbox360 etc… Campbell also produced one for the James Bond game.

This is another example of a design that is quite like a schematic. It depicts the diagram connecting different houses in the Game of Thrones franchise.
