Presentation number 2 today, and things did not go well for our team.
The overall design of the world and characters was too ‘grounded’ and just did not go to plan. I think maybe we had a lack of communication, along with differing ideas; this resulted in poor character/world development. Hopefully this won’t happen again, it has lit a bit of a fire inside me to do better, disappointed in myself..again.
Some reference images of cool concept art which may have suited our world better (shown below) A more realistic approach instead of the cartoony feel was what I was aiming for but working in groups is tough. I have learnt that you just gotta do your own ideas on the side anyway, don’t complain and keep going. 🙂
